A swing is the answer for people who do not have the space for a full-size hammock. Perfect for verandas, porches and gazebos all you need to hang it is a strong beam or tree limb.
We make swings in three types of rope:
Nylon is the perfect fibre for swings:
- Nylon swings are stronger than cotton yet soft, elastic and lusterous, their comfort is hard to beat.
- We hand weave these swings from 100% industrial strength nylon. The yarn we use is the same yarn used to make fishing net for the local fishing industry. It is meant to be in and out of salt water. in the sunshine, wet and dry. It is built to last yet the rope is very soft and silky to the touch.
- Our hunter green yarn is solution-dyed, the colour will not bleed or fade.
- We make our nylon rope with 8 strands of yarn braided aroung a centre core. Small nicks and cuts in one strand will not weaken the integrity of the braid.
- Our nylon rope has a tensile strength of 1000 lbs.
- The rope has been treated for rot, mildew and ultra violet protection.

- It dries very quickly and carries moisture away from the skin - great for those hot, humid summer days.
- It is extremely resistant to breakdown due to chemicals, perspiration, mildew and weather, making it the best choice for areas where the air tends to be polluted.
- It is stain resistant and easily cleaned - simple rinse your swing in water or spray with the hose to remove accumulated dust and debris.
- Olefin is relatively light weight making it easy to take with you on camping trips, etc.
- Our olefin line provides a traditional swing with a synthetic braid - colour-fast, highly resistant to rot and mildew, treated with UV protectant
- Our rope has 8 strands braided around centre core - more durable than a twisted rope - should one strand get nicked or cut, the integrity of the braid will not be compromised. We make our own rope to insure quality.
